Child Support Help Australia offers a service in representing people in their dealings with Services Australia – Child Support, more commonly known as the Child Support Agency (CSA). We assist people with changes of assessment applications, objections (appeals) against assessments and negotiation of payment arrangements for debts (Arrears). We provide many other services as well and our consultants would be happy to discuss your particular problems with you. As well as dealing with CSA we also negotiate and prepare private agreements between parents (Binding Child Support Agreements) and, where required, we can also assist with external appeals against the CSA decisions to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).

AAT Submissions
​We can help you with the AAT in two ways. Firstly, by reviewing the decisions, objections by both parties, notify the AAT and Services Australia - Child Support that you will be appealing to the decision and preparing a written submission to the AAT. Further to the written submission we can also apply to represent you at the hearing, giving you the extra support to clarify your situation to the Tribunal Member and to rebuff any false or misleading allegations being made.
Negotiations
We can help you by negotiating affordable payment arrangements for any potential arrears, examining how the debt accrued, advising if it can be adjusted and negotiating removal of the late payment penalties.
Changes of Assessment
We prepare the change of Assessment application on your behalf and submitted along with all the relevant paperwork on your behalf. We explain all the reasons that can apply for a change of assessment and we can give you a good idea of the likelihood of success beforehand.
DPO Removal
We Can Help You by negotiating with Services Australia – Child Support for a one-off Departure Authorisation Certificate which will allow you to leave the Country for a specified period without having to pay your debt in full.
Objections
If you have an assessment that you don’t agree with or if there has been change of assessment application that has not gone your way, you can object. Please be aware that you only have a limited time to lodge an Objection so do not delay.
Binding Child Support Agreements
These are agreements between parents where neither of you have to deal with the Services Australia – Child Support again. These agreements are professionally prepared with consultation of both parents. It is a requirement that each parent must seek independent legal advice prior to signing.
Representation
We can set up an arrangement where Services Australia - Child Support will not harrass you. In fact, if they then continue to call you they will be breaking the law. You are entitled to your privacy.
